Refund Policy

1. Overview

YATI Media, LLC ("YATI Media," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to customer satisfaction. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which we offer refunds for our products and services.

We offer a variety of products and services, including digital publications, newsletter subscriptions, premium research reports, and editorial service packages. Each product category has specific refund terms as outlined below.

2. Digital Products — General Policy

Due to the nature of digital products, which are immediately accessible upon purchase, we generally do not offer refunds on digital products once they have been accessed or downloaded. However, we evaluate refund requests on a case-by-case basis and may issue refunds in the following circumstances:

  • The product was not as described on our website
  • The product contained significant errors or was materially defective
  • You were charged incorrectly or experienced a billing error
  • Technical issues prevented you from accessing the product

Refund requests for digital products must be submitted within 14 days of the original purchase date.

3. Newsletter Subscriptions

3.1 Free Newsletters

Our free newsletters, including the basic version of Retire With Riley, are provided at no charge. There are no refunds applicable to free subscriptions. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any newsletter email.

3.2 Paid Newsletter Subscriptions

For paid newsletter subscriptions:

  • Monthly Subscriptions: You may cancel at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months.
  • Annual Subscriptions: You may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial annual subscription purchase. After 30 days, we may offer a prorated refund at our discretion.
  • Renewal Charges: If you are charged for a renewal you did not intend, please contact us within 7 days of the charge for a full refund.

4. Premium Research Reports

Our premium investment research reports and guides are digital products delivered electronically. The following refund terms apply:

  • Before Download: If you have not yet downloaded or accessed the report, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase.
  • After Download: Once a report has been downloaded or accessed, refunds are generally not available unless the report contained significant factual errors or was materially different from its description.
  • Bundle Purchases: If you purchased a bundle of reports and have accessed some but not all, we may offer a partial refund for the unaccessed reports at our discretion.

All refund requests for premium reports must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.

5. Editorial Service Packages

For our editorial service packages (Editorial Starter, Media Partner, Enterprise Publisher), the following refund terms apply:

5.1 Before Service Commencement

If you cancel a service package before work has commenced, you are entitled to a full refund of any amounts paid, less a 10% administrative fee.

5.2 After Service Commencement

Once work has commenced on a service package:

  • You will be charged for all work completed up to the date of cancellation
  • Any prepaid amounts for work not yet commenced will be refunded, less a 15% administrative fee
  • Refunds will not be issued for completed deliverables that have been delivered and accepted

5.3 Monthly Service Packages

Monthly service packages may be cancelled with 30 days written notice. You will be responsible for payment through the end of the notice period. No refunds will be issued for the current month's services.

7. Exceptions to This Policy

Notwithstanding the above, we will not issue refunds in the following circumstances:

  • You changed your mind after purchase without a valid reason
  • You purchased a product or service that does not meet your expectations due to reasons not related to our performance
  • You violated our Terms and Conditions
  • The refund request is submitted after the applicable refund window has expired
  • You have previously received a refund for the same product or service

We reserve the right to refuse refund requests that we believe are fraudulent or abusive.

8. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please contact us using one of the following methods:

  • Your full name and email address associated with the purchase
  • Order number or transaction ID
  • Product or service purchased
  • Date of purchase
  • Reason for the refund request

9. Refund Processing Timeline

Once we receive your refund request, we will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your request within 2 business days
  • Review and process your request within 5–7 business days
  • Notify you of our decision via email

If your refund is approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method. Please allow the following timeframes for the refund to appear:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5–10 business days
  • PayPal: 3–5 business days
  • Bank Transfer: 5–10 business days

10. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. Chargebacks can be costly and time-consuming for both parties, and we are committed to resolving disputes directly.

If you initiate a chargeback without first contacting us, we reserve the right to dispute the chargeback and provide evidence of the transaction. Fraudulent chargebacks may result in termination of your account and referral to appropriate authorities.
